Semester Programs
This is the program that most of our students sign up for. It is a semester-long commitment where your child gets to focus on the style of dance you sign them up for. The first part of the semester is spent working on technique while the second half is focused on learning and perfecting a piece of choreography. The beauty of this program is that you can see just how much your child grows in a 5 month period and it gives them a long-term goal to work towards.
At the end of the semester your child will be a part of the recital where they are able to perform the dance they have been learning in class. Each class will have it's own costume and unique choreography that they will perform. If, for example, your child is in a ballet class and a tap class they will have two costumes and perform both in a ballet dance and a tap dance.
Traveling Competitive & Training Programs
The choice for our serious dancer! We have multiple tiers of team and commitments. Whether you are interested in strictly a local commitment, or would love to travel with your dancer, we have a Team for you! These programs is a 13-month commitment that requires an audition, outside rehearsals, additional performance opportunities, and a chance to perform before other dancers and judges. When you audition for the team you are committing to the entire season, which includes additional costs. Whenever possible we try to attend competition/convention events since it not only gives our dancers an opportunity to perform for others but the convention side allows them to take classes from world-renown choreographers.
We try to find events that are within an average travel time of four hours or less from Red Bluff. These events are usually held over the entire weekend and sometimes require you to be there the Thursday or Friday night prior depending on each individual event.
This is such an amazing opportunity for our dancers as they are able to experience what other’s their age are doing and are able to see what older dancer’s are accomplishing so that they have inspiration in their own dance practice.
Competition Team is more than just extra classes. It's a commitment.
If you audition and make a team (several levels available) you are required to take a certain number of classes, though we encourage our competition dancers to take all styles as they will be taking classes in every style at convention.
Dancers perform at multiple events outside of the main studio, most of them locally.
We expect students on our teams to be ambassadors of Ignite Your Flare: kind, helpful, prepared, always willing to do their best with a positive attitude.

Team Ember
Our travelling non-competitve team! If you are wanting to just dip your toes into what travelling competition is all about, then this is for you! You go to one out of town event where you participate in convention classes for the weekend. You also get to watch your teammates perform competition routines, can see other studios compete, and learn all about what it means to compete without having to make that commitement. These events are fun, high-energy weekends where you get to learn from master choreographers and dance with hundreds of other dancers.
Travelling, Non-Competitve Team
Team Wildfire
Our adaptive inclusive team! Similar to Team Ember, dancers are required to go to one out of town event, with the other out of town events optional. This program is designed to be inclusive and supportive of dancers with disabilities, neurodivergence, learning differences, medical needs, or any circumstance requiring individualized adaptations for success.

Team Spark
Our travelling pre-team! This is the next step in our competitive teams, bridging the gap between Team Ember and Team Blaze. Students are only required to go to one out of town event, but they will be competitng a dance at the event. They are only required to do one dance (with an option to add on more if available) so it is not too stressful for them. We encourage these dancers to attend additional events, even if they are not competing, so that they can be a part of the convention classes and to cheer on their other teammates.
Pre-Team
Team Blaze
Our full competitve team! This is our full team with the most amount of committments. On this team you will have to attend all of the local and competitve events, perform in a minimum of two routines, an option to add on a solo or additional group routines, and have a specific class requirment at Flare. Students are held to a very high standard on this Team as they are learning to be examples and leaders for others at both our studio and at these events.
